Maternity wedding dresses are normally sized according to your pre-pregnant size.
If you were a size 14 before you became pregnant you will probably need a size 14 wedding dress but the most important size when buying your dress is your bust. This is because the dresses are designed to fit around the bust area and the skirt will expand with your bump. Please check the sizing chart below.
Some women will require a slightly different size if they are very close to birth as the bust can expand greatly in the final month leading up to the birth.
Different designers do have slight variations in their exact size so we always recommend you visit us or any maternity bridal store to ensure your dress fits perfectly. Please make sure you know your correct bra size to ensure you order the right dress.
We have a seamstress to hand if your dress needs slight alterations but a majority of the time dresses will fit perfectly.
Some of our maternity wedding dresses are fitted and sculpted to your bump and are adjusted at
the back by a corset style lacing system to allow for bump growth so you can buy these dresses at any time. We do not sell those styles online however so you may need to make an appointment if your chosen dress has a corset style fastening.
Our dresses range from size 8 up to size 28 so we will always have a dress available for every expectant bride.
To get the correct fit you need to take into account that your bust will grow as you approach full term with your pregnancy. It will grow a lot in the last month! We would always advise getting the slightly larger size if possible to ensure you have room around the bust area for growth if you are getting married within 1 month of your due date. If you are getting married anywhere from 3-8 months you can safely select your bra size from the chart above and 99% of the time your dress will fit perfectly.
